Our Services
-
YouTube Documentary
Ruby Hall is two-fold. We build furnishings yes, but also record every project we produce. At first, we ask that only those willing to participate in the video process solicit our services. Over time, as we expand, we’ll be able to take on work if you chose to remain anonymous. This allows each piece we produce to also act as marketing material. The other important caveat is, we ask clients to agree to allow us to design as we go. Meaning, you would have to agree to not know how the project will come out, in detail. we ask you consider this before reaching out. That is not to say you do not have input. Not the case. We encourage all input. Whether that’s finish preference, size requirements, type of piece (table, clock, wall art) etc. The idea behind the Ruby Hall Youtube channel is to take an audience on a journey of discovery. We feel filming the creative process with more unknowns than knowns, creates a captivating experience. We hope to hear about your project soon and showcase it on our page.

Production/Fabrication/Finish
To clarify, our mission is to repurpose used furniture into entirely new, different pieces. A table may become a chest of drawers. A chair may become a clock. A desk may be wall art. We are not furniture restorers. Once you’ve chosen the piece to be repurposed, you the client will dictate the direction your new piece will take when we meet for the first time. We will ask pointed questions about the existing piece’s history, your current needs, as well as any design/color influences you’d like to see implemented. We’d also love to hear a bit about you. Does the old piece have a history with you? What is the story behind it? Do you have an emotional connection to it? From there, we will have a blueprint, but not an exact idea. With the process of disassembly, finish stripping, and material usage diagnosis, the true shape of the piece will begin to tell it’s own story. The idea is to document the ride this piece will take, as not us the builders, you the client, or the piece itself will know it’s true form until the very end.
